Marcus Fraser has double reason to celebrate Malaysia win

 

Australian golfer Marcus Fraser had barely finished celebrating his recent Maybank Championship win when he was given another reason to raise a glass, a new clothing sponsorship with Barrington Ayre Bespoke Golf.  

 

The European Tour stalwart will now be wearing specialist designed clothing from UK based tailor - Barrington Ayre, starting in March.

 

The Cotswold based tailors have been working with TV and sports stars for many years, making bespoke clothing for the likes of footballers Robbie Savage and Phil Neville, cricket supremo David ‘Bumble’ Lloyd and former Ashes winning England cricket captain – Michael Vaughan. It was their work with Michael Vaughan, a keen golfer, that has spawned their bespoke golf range, explained company director and principle tailor Tom Wharton.

 

“Michael (Vaughan) came to us looking for something he could wear on the course, something unique. We had recently made a rain coat for him and other clients from a 100% cotton fabric called Ventile that is weather proof. We have adapted this to make our golf trousers. We have also used clothing technology for our polo shirts, which bring moisture to the surface leaving you feeling cool, while our golf jumpers are made from Merino wool for ultimate comfort.

 

“The range is made to work with your body and the course,” he added. “It is great to have Marcus Fraser on board and we hope for further wins for him in Barrington Ayre Bespoke Golf clothing.”

 

Marcus Fraser says he is always looking for new ways to stay on top of his game and what you wear has a big part to play in on the course success. “I jumped at the chance to have a golf wardrobe exactly the way I wanted it. It’s great to be involved at the start of such an exciting project.”
